We publish our prices
because guessing wastes
everybody's time.

Most agencies open with a discovery call and close with a number you cannot check. Syntex works the other way round — the rates live in a price book, the configurator prices your scope against them, and the contract you sign is the one the calculator produced.

Why we work this way

A price you cannot check is a price you have to take on trust. We would rather you checked.

Agencies keep prices private because it protects the negotiation. The trouble is what that costs everyone else: you spend a week in calls to find out whether a project is even in your range, and we spend the same week quoting work we were never right for.

So we moved the price book into the open. Every option in the configurator has a rate behind it that our own team quotes from — not a starting-from figure that grows once you are committed. When the number changes as you add a feature, that is the actual cost of that feature.

The rest follows from it. If the price is fixed then the scope has to be written down, so there is a contract before anything starts. If the scope is written down then progress can be measured against it, so there is a portal instead of a weekly status email. None of this is generosity — it is what publishing a price forces you to do properly.

It also means we say no more often. If what you need does not fit what we are good at, the configurator will not produce a sensible number and we will tell you so rather than take the work.

What that means in practice

  • The price is the price

Quoted from the published price book, not an estimate that moves once work begins.

  • The contract is what you read

Stored and hashed at the moment you sign it, so neither side can quietly revise it later.

  • Progress you can see

Milestones, files and approvals in your own portal — not a status update you have to ask for.

  • You own the result

Source code, domains, hosting and ad accounts in your name. Leaving is never a hostage negotiation.

  • GST, properly

Compliant invoices generated automatically, with the tax worked out from place of supply.

  • No discovery-call tax

Configure and price it yourself. Talk to us when you want to, not to find out what it costs.
